             "Best Hotel on"The Way"

Lunch: Stopped off at the Rowerdennan hotel

Again busy so had a wee wait but otherwise fine, lovely lunch, ice cold lager and plenty of outside tables to get our boots off at.

Expected an easy day BUT this was a hard day, long slog up from Rowardennan then along the lochside to Inversnaid. Feet Very Sore

Day 2  (14 miles) to  Inversnaid Bunk House

Arrived after a long hard day as i said, This first place you come to is the Inversnaid Hotel

This is just over the bridge and is where you will be collected if you are staying at the Bunk house as it is about 1/2 a mile up a steep hill.

This hotel would be a good option as it is on the "Way" and the staff are friendly and helpfull, good cheap food  and beer here also.

After a few well deserved pints and a burger or 2 we called for our lift and were collected by Scott, the manager of the bunkhouse. The bunk house is a converted church with about eight,  2 and 3 bed rooms. Upstairs is a bar/restaurant/lounge area (get in early to get a comfy sofa).

Rooms: Very small but clean and fine for 1 night

Service: Good, Scott made us very welcome and sorted out some initial problems.

Food: Did not eat here apart from breakfast but the food looked great.Good selection of wines and beers

Cost: £17 per person, linen provided,£1 for towels.

Lunch: We stopped at Beinglas Campsite and restaurant    . This is situated near Inverarnan just off the main road. "The best lunch stop of the walk".

Food great and plentiful, Carrot and corriander soup to die for. Very friendly helpfull service, campsite looks great , facilitys very clean. Midge machines about ,which is great also. Will be back to camp

Day 3  (14 Miles) to  Ben More Lodges

Arrived in Crianlariach after a great days walk along the banks of Loch lomond. Weather hot and sunny.Great scenery and walking easier after Loch Lomond. The Ben Mor lodges are great, good sized log cabins clean and comfortable. Meals in the hotel great, Try the currys the are A1.

Entertainment in the bar that night and we drank the bar dry of shots, all in a great place and great fun too.
